With the active participation of 29 cricket teams, the one-day cricket tournament was held successfully. The tournament continued smoothly, until dark clouds and rain covered the field in the final, ending in a very tense manner. The cricket warriors fought enthusiastically, playing through the rain until it turned into a continuous downpour. However, Goal Down ’24 came to a remarkable conclusion, with three teams of cricket warriors, OUCC Brothers from the Open University of Sri Lanka and FCT Gladiators from the University of Kelaniya, collectively claiming the title of champions, following several important decisions.

It showcases the unpredictable beauty and unpredictable changes of cricket as a sport. Additionally, in recognition of their outstanding performances, the cricket heroes were awarded several prestigious awards, including the titles of Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Player of the Tournament. OUCC Brothers’ M. Niyaz emerged as the standout performer, claiming both titles; Tournament Player and Best Bowler. M. Dinushan of Royal Rangers was recognized as the Best Batsman for his outstanding batting performance.
