Every year, on February 11, the world highlights a strong truth which states that science is developing better When everyone gets a seat on the lab bench. That International Day Women and Girls in Science It is a global day to celebrate and encourage women to shape our future. From curing disease to cracks in climate mystery, women have contributed extraordinary to science.
Marie Curie, Katherine Johnson, or Jane Goodall are some of the famous pioneers who rewrite the rules. But regardless of their inheritance, women are currently making up Less than 30% World Researcher (UNESCO Data). Why? Because of stereotypes, lack of role models, and unequal opportunities still keep girls away from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
The good news is that change occurs. Girls are coding robots, young women lead space missions, and initiatives such as gender inclusive guidance programs and policies are leveling the field.
How can we trigger this momentum?
